I thought I was looking at my desk for a second... Thanks for posting these interesting ways to "Eat, Drink, and be Merry." The Big Apple has so much to offer, it's sometimes hard to find this stuff. Sometimes the Festivals can be a great time, but it's also fun to explore stuff that most people have yet to find out about whatsoever... I encourage all fans of drinking and comedy to check out the Power Hour Comedy Show. It's once a month at EastVille Comedy Club. The New York Comedy Festival features quite a good assortment of talent, but a small club with amateurs is sometimes just as much fun (and a whole lot cheaper!)
