Late Tuesday, a 7.0 earthquake, with a series of 5.5 aftershocks, rocked the capital of Haiti. Various buildings, including the hospital, have collapsed and the death toll continues to rise by the hour.
Reports out of the crowded and impoverished city of Port-au-Prince is that dead bodies are all over the streets and people are panicking and screaming for help.

Text HAITI to 90999 – The U.S. Dept of State’s Web site has suggested that people looking to help with relief should text a $10 donation to the Red Cross. The $10 charge will show up on your next cellphone bill.
