Luck of the Irish this Thursday on Southwest Airlines.

Southwest goes green with their "Spot the Leprachaun" promotion.

Although St.Patrick’s Day is next Tuesday, Southwest Airlines will be celebrating some Irish cheer early aboard their fleet this coming Thursday. Passengers flying between Dallas, San Antonio, Harlingen, Chicago, Kansas City, Tulsa, Denver and St. Louis may encounter some festive and generous pixies along the way. In Southwest’s “Spot the Leprachaun” promotion, three green sprites will play in-flight trivia, give out prizes, and hand over their pot of gold: round-trip tickets on Southwest.  And all this time I thought leprechauns flew Aer Lingus.

Speaking of Southwest, they are currently running a Spring Fever Sale with low fares to top U.S.  destinations.  You can travel between March 24 and June 24, but must book by March 16. Fares starting as low as $39 one-way (before taxes and fees).

Another reason to love Southwest! Besides low fares, they try to make flying fun…what a concept. Other airlines should learn from their marketing.
