JetBlue Posts First Quarter Profit; Celebrates With Great One-Day Sale

JetBlue is making other airlines blue with envy this morning with their announcement of a $12 million profit in their first three months of 2009. Considering that one year ago JetBlue lost $10 million in their first quarter, it is safe to say the airline is flying…er jetting high with the good news. It is the first time since 2005 that JetBlue made some moolah between the months of January and March. How happy are they at the low-cost carrier today? Can you say sale!?

JetBlue is offering amazing fares for as low as $29 one-way! Other fares clock in between $39 and $115-one way. One that stood out, and might have this nomad traveling in May, is the New York-San Francisco itinerary for $79-one way. Here are some sample fares (before taxes and fees):

  • New York (JFK) to Portland, ME (PWM): $29-one way
  • Boston (BOS) to Charlotte (CLT): $29-one way
  • San Francisco (SFO) to Long Beach (LGB): $29-one way
  • Orlando (MCO) to Nassau (NAS): $39-one way
  • Seattle (SEA) to San Diego (SAN): $59-one way
