Nomad Notebook: Poland Update 3 (More Pics From Auschwitz, Experiencing Some Crazy Weather & Some New Pics)

My Poland trip so far has been great. The weather here has been all over the place. Upon arriving in Krakow Airport, we had very warm weather. The first full day here was another warmer than expected day. Then the next two days were chilly with heavy downpours that would come and go every 30 minutes.

We would be driving through a dark and windy rainstorm and then it would instantly become bright and sunny outside…then back to the dark and windy rainstorm. Below are some more pictures from the first week of my trip. My next update will include pictures from Zakopane and the Tatra Mountains. Next week I will be in Krakow and will check out Wawal castle, Rynek Glowny and the Wieliczka salt mines.

I’ve always heard great things about Poland. Krakow is supposed to have an amazing nightlife.

Poland seriously is such an amazing country. Some of it was what I expected (good heavy food, delicious beers, pretty women)…but I was also surprised at some things (everyone seems to be buying luxury items like cars, flat screens and fancy clothing). I can not wait to spend some time in Krakow and Zakopane. No time for Warsaw on this trip, but since the wife has family in Poland, we will be back many times in the future to check out that city and other locales.
