Those seven words are something I truly believe. There is not a better feeling in the world than being able to give back or help the less fortunate. Life is unpredictable and although you might have it good today, you never know what tomorrow will bring. I strongly feel that by helping your fellow man today, it will come back to repay you later when you need it.
Over the past twelve months I have had many ups and downs when it has come to my personal life. Fortunately there were more good than bad, but it was the bad times that made me stronger and helped me see this crazy world from a whole new perspective. Landing a great job in this awful economy and finding out that I will be a dad for the first time were definitely more than enough to make me realize how truly blessed I am.
That is why when I heard about Passports with Purpose, I immediately wanted to help out. A healthy list of travel bloggers have banded together to raffle off great prizes. The money raised will benefit American Assistance for Cambodia, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving for the young and the poor in Cambodia. The goal is to raise $13,000 so that PwP can build a school in Cambodia.
The drawing begins Monday November 30 and closes Monday December 21. Prize winners will be announced Tuesday January 5. 100% of all donations go directly to AAfC, a 501(3)c, and are tax deductible.
