It was still spectacular -- loved the shops, restaurants, architecture, view (although the day was a bit gray and moody - I like that!) , etc. The people were wonderful, too. Met a local couple on the train that were so enthusiastic about their city and happy about living there. Beautiful town that you can walk for hours in and see amazing sights. Highly recommend walking the old city wall as well. Stayed at a fabulous bed and breakfast there that gave us a city map and showed us all the great things to see. Totally agree with your assessment!
