The Maldives (also known as the Maldive Islands), is an island nation formed by a double chain of twenty-six atolls that stretch in a north-south direction off India’s Lakshadweep islands.
It sits atop the Laccadive Sea, about 435 miles south-west of Sri Lanka. The Maldives is the smallest Asian country and with being only 4’11″ above sea level, it is also the lowest country on the planet.

On average the temperatures hang out between 75 and 90 degrees 12 months a year and although you may suffer from a bad hair day due to the humidity, the cool ocean breeze does act as a sort of air conditioner for the island.
