Tower Bridge

I like the way these photos capture the lowering mood of London in February and don’t try to “pretty” it up; the grey skies can be so atmospheric, and perfectly match the mood of the tower.

I love the tower bridge so much. It’s just gorgeous and so very London-y. Did you see the new Sherlock Holmes movie? It wasn’t great but some of the plot points hinged around the building of tower bridge and it was pretty neat to see.

I’m a blogger who’s a sucker for boutique hotels!!! Thanks for sharing this! It’s nice to add a new address in my dream hotel virtual Rolodex! Hahaha!

And London is SUCH a great city. Did you know I was obsessed with London since 1986 (in 6th grade)? I wrote my first travel essay for my English class about London, gathering info & inspiration from a trip I had taken with my mother that summer + from an old Berlitz guidebook (does Berlitz still exist??) + I was a big fan of The Jam and Paul Weller. My English teacher liked the article, but she reprimanded me for using the phrase “quintessentially London” – she said there was no such word as “quintessential”. Needless to say, I was shocked by that comment! But I will always relate “Quintessential” with London!

The Tower Bridge, along with many other historical landmarks, is definitely a “Quintessential London experience!!!!”
