
Visitors to the Sears Tower Skydeck can now stand 4.3 feet out and 1,353 above Chicago's famed structure.
Starting today Sears Tower will offer visitors to the legendary structure a new way to check out the Windy City. Those brave souls willing to shell out a few bucks can walk about 4 feet out onto a glass structure called “The Ledge” and look straight down at the city below.
How far up will you be? Eh just a measly 1,353 feet! The five sided enclosure, which is located on the 103rd floor of Sears Tower, is sure to be a hit with people visiting Chicago’s famed skyscraper.
The Ledge cost $8 million to build and is sure to pay off for the third tallest building in the world. More than 1 million people pay to visit Sears Tower’s Skydeck each year.
