Three Really Happy Hours in New York City

Decisions, decisions!

With the weather getting warmer and the days getting longer, now is the perfect time to down a few cold ones while visiting New York City. While the Big Apple can be a pretty pricey place to get hammered, a few select spots offer happy hours and drink specials that are sure to get you lit for less.

Acme Bar & Grill: Home of the “F*ck it Buckets” and $2 Tuesdays, this Greenwich Village might not be the prettiest girl at the party, but you will definitely enjoy it’s daily happy hour from 4-7pm with such cheap brews as Abita, Acme Home Brew and Pabst Blue Ribbon! 9 Great Jones St. Stay nearby at the Cooper Square Hotel.

Blind Tiger Ale House: The massive beer selection at this Bleecker Street bar is already tempting, but with a weekday happy hour that last from noon to 8pm, you just might call in sick to work in order to partake in the party. Note: Do not come here if you are looking for a boring Coors Light or Budweiser, as this is a serious drinking destination with many delicious microbrews on tap for the true beer snobs to enjoy. 281 Bleecker St. Stay nearby at the Jane Hotel.

Rudy’s Bar & Grill: Located in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen, this dive bar has been providing affordable booze since 1933. Most notable is the Ruby’s Red specialty drink served in a bucket for only $7.75. Of course after downing that enormous amount of alcohol, one must eat of course. So be sure to chomp on a few (free) Ruby’s hot dogs.  627 Ninth Ave. Stay nearby at the Milford Plaza.
