Taiwan television caught dramatic footage of a popular hotel as it collapsed into nearby floor waters in the city of Morakot, just south of Shanghai. Officials said that the building was evacuated well before it came tumbling off its foundation. Taiwan has been hit extremely hard this summer with torrential rains that have caused some of the worst flooding on the island in nearly 50 years. It is safe to say that this property will not be making my “hotels of the month” section anytime soon.
