Sorry AirTran, but you should know better than to brag around the likes of one Sir Richard Branson. After touting that they would be the first airline to offer WiFi on all of their fleet, the low cost carrier was trumped by  Virgin America for in flight technology bragging rights.

GoGo Inflight is now available on all of Virgin’s planes. Prices for internet in the air are as follow:

  • $12.95 for daytime flights of over three hours
  • $9.95 for daytime flights of less than three hours
  • $5.95 on red-eye flights
  • $7.95 for hand held devices.

Speaking of Richie boy, he will be on Thursday’s Oprah show live from one of the Virgin planes via Skype (Which is NOT available to customers, but he is the boss, so he gets what he wants!). Congrats to Virgin for the accomplishment and thanks for being one of the few air carriers that “get it.” Virgin travels to such cities as New York, San Francisco, Boston, Las Vegas and more.
